Oakland Makers

Launched in 2013, Oakland Makers is an organization co-founded with The City of Oakland, created to support the Industrial Arts Community and increase the visibility of local manufacturing innovators.

Along with its mission to highlight the city’s creative individuals and retaining an industrial zoning environment that invites new business, Oakland Makers is focused on creating a new “makerforce” that supports moving young adults in Oakland towards sustainable middle-income wage technical and creative careers.
