A 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping Bay Area entrepreneurs by increasing access to capital assistance for low and moderate income (LMI) communities owned by minorities, women and disabled veterans.
The Alliance for Community Development provides startup founders and business owners with expert business knowledge, growth practices and connections to financial and other resources.
Since 2010, the Alliance has sponsored the Created in Oakland (CiO) program, which accelerates the growth of small firms with revenues from $100,000 – $700,000 to achieve over $1 million in revenue.
The organization also established the Double Bottom Line Fund, an equity fund launched with the Bay Area Council in 2003. The fund invests in local businesses whose median household incomes are 80% or less than their county’s median household income.
