Earth Day Q&A with CREDO Mobile founder, Michael Kieschnick

Earth Day will be celebrated here and around the globe this week. A locally inspired Earth Day celebration will be a Q and A talk with the founder and CEO of one of the nation’s top social impact businesses, CREDO Mobile. Michael Kieschnick. The  session will focus on how CREDO grew its cell phone business that supports progressive causes amid the demands of a cut-throat industry.  LWOAK partners Sustainable Business Alliance and Oakland Grown are among the hosts.

Cleantech Open will sponsor a discussion of crowd funding for clean tech ventures. Mingle with other entrepreneurs and experienced cleantech lawyers at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati’s SOMA office in San Francisco. Topic is leveraging crowdfunding for clean tech. They’ll give an overview of the Cleantech Open program and talk about successfully funded startups who went through Cleantech Open’s contests how the process helped them launch their company. Bridging the Digital Divide: Getting EveryoneOn: Creating an inclusive Digital Society

EveryoneOn is a nonprofit organization working to close the digital divide. Through partnerships with leading Internet service providers and hardware providers, they make low-cost computers and high-speed Internet services for as low as $10 a month available to all unconnected U.S. residents. This workshop at Oakland City Hall will teach community leaders about the available low-cost Internet options and how they can get their constituents online. Learn Business Strategies with Michael Bush,  deadline to apply is April 25

Ready to move from idea to reality? Founding team ready for the next step?  Impact HUB Oakland is offering Business Startup Strategies with Michael Bush, a Stanford entrepreneurship guru, known for the #8Factors methodology. The three month class starts Monday night May 12, but the deadline for applying is this Friday, April 25!  Apply here.
